In 2021, District One partnered with pioneering Sông Cái Distillery to launch the first-ever Vietnamese gin in the United States. Our engagement started with the creation and launch of the brand’s website along with the PR launch of the inaugural Vietnam Dry Gin and Vietnam Floral Gin to US media. Our press efforts resulted in several notable pieces of coverage including the New York Times, Vice, Robb Report, Condé Nast Traveler, and Bloomberg, which named the Vietnam Dry Gin among the best spirits of 2021.

In addition to launching the brand’s website and PR, we collaborated with Sông Cái on a video campaign series shot by videographer Alan Tan entitled the “Spirit of Vietnam.” The campaign comprised three sizzle videos, each featuring notable Vietnamese industry leaders including Yen Vo, owner of Madame Vo; Lucinda Sterling, bartender-partner at Seaborne and Middle Branch; and Sahra Nguyen, founder and CEO of Nguyen Coffee Supply.

Finally, during a New York visit from founder Daniel Nguyen, we planned and executed a sold-out ticketed dinner event and panel conversation at Madame Vo to celebrate the US launch of the gin. See the event recap here.
