Madame Vo BBQ was the first-ever Vietnamese restaurant to be reviewed by the New York Times' Restaurant Critic Pete Wells, who named it a Critic's Pick for the signature Beef 7 Ways tasting menu.

Thrillist's Kat Thompson spotlighted Madame Vo BBQ's unique take on Vietnamese barbecue—in particular, Chef Jimmy Ly's rendition of the classic Vietnamese feast of Beef 7 Ways.

"There's never been a better time to eat Vietnamese food in New York," says Grubstreet, naming Madame Vo one of the leaders in the city's current Golden Age of Vietnamese Food.
